Premier Inn London Brentford Hotel

Chap on reception was nice and friendly but took ages to be let in from the car park door. Restaurant closed half an hour earlier than advertised, coffee machine didn’t work, one of the two lifts wouldn’t go above floor 1 which meant it took ages to get the working lift. Can understand the warnings about parking vans in the car park. No barrier which seems ridiculous with the main road nearby. A number of damaged cars in there covered in dust seemingly sat for months. Room was okay.

Hotel wasn't the cleanest I've ever stayed in tbh & the 'family' room was just a normal sized room with 2 extra beds squeezed in it. But it was my girlfriends little boys birthday when we stayed there & 1 of the staff actually went out they're way to buy him a card & a little gift which was very admirable of him to do so & well above & beyond duty so to speak , so this 1 kind gesture was enough to save our stay.

Staff were lovely and couldn’t do enough for us. Was easy to come and go. The only down side was that massive road that was so busy and difficult to cross. But you couldn’t hear the traffic and the bed was super comfy. Just a little high for me as I’m vertically challenged 🙄🤣we only had one hand towel too but these are just minor things. Food was great, they do good deals. I would stay again for the festival we attended.

Firstly may I say what lovely staff. Shabir the Duty Manager was an absolute delight, could not be more helpful. Worked out our travel route on public transport and everything. Also gave us tips on where to eat out. Most helpful person we have met. Room was clean and tidy. Restaurant staff were very hard working overseen by Shabir as well. They were overrun with guests but still managed to keep a smile on their faces with a professional manner. Will definitely go again. It was not too far from city centre with public transport on your doorstep.

We arrived 20 minutes before 3pm (checking in time) after spending 5 minutes trying to get the attention of staff to let us in from the car park door. In the end, we ended up walking up the car park entrance road. There was no one on the reception booth when we got there. When the staff member did turn up, she said if we were checking in 10 minutes early we'd still have to pay the £10 early check in charge. The service was a bit lacklustre and no effort made. We decided to wait the 10 minutes and the staff member disappeared leaving numerous people waiting to check in. She came back at 3pm and began checking everyone in. No other staff were seen at all. However, the room was spotless, the bed was very comfortable and room was cool so no complaints there. The car park is not run by Premier Inn so it's a first come first serve car park, i did call in advance to see if i could reserve a spot but was told that wasnt an option. It's £12 a day and very limited. And also quite tight so you'd need to be good at maneuvering if it's quite full. The car park is a little dirty but nothing you wouldn't expect from any other public car park in London. There is access to the hotel from the car park level but our requests to open the door for us to make our way up to the reception went unanswered as there was no staff anywhere to actually unlock it. The cooked breakfast is OK, kind of what you'd expect from a breakfast buffet. Again there was only one member of staff looking after the restaurant, no one at reception. This is the only hotel I've stayed in where staff seem to be very few and far between. I'm grateful we had no problems as we'd have struggled to find anyone to help. The hotel is a 10 minute walk to Brentfrod train station so easy to get into London. I'd probably stay here again purely going off of how comfortable and clean the room was, not for the service or lack there of, of staff.
